"Murrini is one of my favorite areas of glassmaking. It is fun challenging and complex. Murrini is an ancient glassmaking technique where by colored glasses are combined and then stretched out into rods. These rods are then sliced vertically into disks like a loaf of bread which reveals their cross section. The slices are then fused at 1400 degrees to create a smooth glossy surface. The glass is then brought together with silver findings using a high grade jeweler's adhesive. I have made over 150 designs by now and have only just begun…" Michael Egan

We will be posting our new jewelry designs soon!
